Product Features

Operational performance has become a strategic business issue. The ability to achieve performance improvements through asset utilisation and safe, secure operational efficiency are critical in today’s highly competitive global market.

Overview

There has been an increased international focus on organisational security in recent years. Organisations now understand the importance of using accurate and efficient methods of tracking employees, visitors and service providers within buildings or across a campus. By understanding where people are, who they are accompanied by, how long they spend on site and when they leave, management and security can build a comprehensive understanding of how people work within the organisation. Combined with an understanding of location and movements of assets, the organisation can develop a real-time and historical picture of its operational environment.

The location system works using a radio frequency, freeing it from the proximity limitations of RFID technology, whilst still retaining some of their technology benefits, such as serial numbers and security. Typical instances of where the system would be installed will be:

For additional position security the option exists for factory fitment of a low cost GPS engine, available for some models.

Staff and Personnel Location

There are two products available meeting the needs of security applications and health and safety.

The IDTAG is designed for indoor use only, and is envisaged to be deployed in high security areas, such as hospitals, specialist facilities and within some corporate organisations and Universities.

RTAGRTAG – Rugged Tag (Safety Tag)

To withstand harsh external environments, a rugged IP67 tag has been designed and developed. The RTAG has an “Assist Now Alarm” and a general function button that can be defined by the end user. [IP 67 is an ingress protection standard, totally protecting against dust and the ingress of water up to a depth of 1m for short durations of time.
